Summary

Abstract This Canadian national map geographically illustrates the location of Canada Lands. Canada Lands include the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Indian Reserves, Canada's National Parks and Canada's offshore area. The map illustrates the approximate position of all of Canada's Indian Reserves displayed as simple dots. The extents of Territorial lands are seen in a pastel red fill, Offshore Areas are indicated with a dark blue fill and the 200 nautical miles limit is clearly identified. National Parks are displayed with a green pastel fill and green tree icons were used to identify parks with small areas. The map illustrates the legal definition of Canada Lands from the Canada Lands Surveys Act . This map is available in PDF format as a letter (scale 1:30 000 000), tabloid (scale: 1:20 000 000) or wall map size (scale 1:7 500 000).

La carte illustre, par des points, la position approximative de toutes les réserves indiennes du Canada. Purpose:
The purpose of this map is to locate some Canada Land types as types described in section 24 of the Canada Lands Surveys Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. L-6 and managed by the Surveyor General Branch relative to other major geographical features. Administrative decisions should be based on legal documents and legal survey plans. The underlying basemap is presented as background information only.
